The long tedious week...
Hey all,
Well, you know when you don't have scheduled projects or requests for "side-projects" out in the district...things just get boring fast. Other than an interesting side project that we had to split the team up with the St. Charles contingent (Drake, Jon, and me) and Frank hitting Wentzville (while the rest were at South County...oh darn, missed chatting w/Christian & Bill), it's been a pretty boring week. So yesterday/Wednesday, we had to build a fridge-tech/vignette frame, put that and the over-the-range microwave on it. Then, came my first experience on the roof of a Best Buy store. We had to replace the off-air antenna with a REALLY powerful one, due to the distance from Wentzville to the HD antennas on the local network affiliates. Drake & Jon both cut themselves on the antenna (I forgot my work gloves in the car). So, we replaced that antenna, went back down to test it (perfect), then the store asked us to check on the DirectTV dish, as they weren't getting ANY HD channels. Back to the roof, we had the dish aligned and all, but no HD signal. Odd. Thankfully, this time...didn't have to scale the scary ladder with the mini-socket set in-hand. :) After that, we took lunch/break and headed off to Mid-Rivers, where Drake & I got ribbed by our usual crew. Maggie nearly jumped when she saw me (as her and the crew miss me alot). So, we helped out there, as the rest of them did planos, Frank fixed their Digital Music Store endcap (finally), and I did the Music/Video Storage plano to be around media. Afterward, helped Dan/Maggie with DVD drops. A usual day in the Mid-Rivers. :)
