Trying to get my license plates renewed, and more....
Hey all,

Well, needless to say, Mike's Repair on 5th Street lost what has been a near-15+ year customer relationship. Anyway...I need to get my plates by the end of the month, and with me being out sick yesterday (and today), I went to Mike's for a State Inspection appointment. Anyway, I waited there, instead of having the step-dad drive me home. 15 minutes later, done...and failed for front brake pads. *shakes head* Headed over to Meineke for the brakes, and they checked them out, and were like, "WTF, they failed you? You still have about 40% left." So, they gave me a printout, with the measurement, and frustrated...headed back to Mike's. Mike made his mechanic who dealt with me, recheck them, and he apologized, as he explained why he did it. My argument was....that I go to another place (which happens to be GVIP & State-certified as car inspection station) which passed me, yet you failed me. He passed me, but warned me about the brakes (based off of what Meineke said, I still have a good 20,000 miles left in them). *shakes head*
