Some thoughts and that....
Hey all,
Well, while having my nice wireless broadband provided by the hotel, I've been able to do a few things I normally wouldn't with my slow-as-hell dial-up.
First off, saw the first two opening credits w/theme of the new Gundam series, "Mobile Suit Gundam 00," and WOW! I can NOT wait for this series. The only thing I was really worried about (and still kind of worried about) was the character designer for this show, but man....the mecha designers have completely outdid themselves with this. Plus, getting L-Arc'en'Ciel to do the first opening song ("Daybreak's Bell") was great. The Brilliant Green followed that up with an EXCEPTIONAL opening song with "Ash Like Snow." I've watched a few of the AMV's that fans have posted, and I really want Bandai to fast-track this series for DVD release. The first season (25 eps) is done in Japan, with the second 25 ep season starting in October. Based off what people are thinking....while SEED/SEED Destiny was kind of a remake of the original Gundam TV series, Gundam 00 is kind of a remake of Gundam Wing.
Watched the recent (can you say a two weeks ago) Match of the Year candidate with the GHC Jr. Tag Team Title win by KENTA & Taiji Ishimori over champs Shingo Takagi & BxB Hulk. WOW, there were some amazing high-impact spots in that match, including a spinwheel kick for a Doomsday Device that nearly broke Taiji in half. Watch this match!
