    Dingo Update From IWA Mid-South
We received word from Dingo tonight that he has suffered a broken neck in two places as a result of the last wrestling match he participated in after landing on his head while receiving an inverted Michinoku Driver. He is able to walk but he definitely can't wrestle.

He will be in attendance at the show on November 20th to vacate the IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Title.

We will be trying to gather some items that we feel would make for good raffles for our fans during the show for the proceeds to go to Dingo. He is in serious financial trouble with the hospital bills/doctor bills and not being able to work due to the severity of his injuries.

We will try to do everything that we can to help Dingo in his time of need and hope that our fans will keep him in their thoughts and prayers for a full recovery where Dingo will be able to return to living a normal life.

Hopefully our loyal fans will forget about his past transgressions after he teamed up with Jim Fannin and give Dingo the ovation and support on the 20th that he deserves as the longest reigning IWA Mid-South heavyweight champion in history.

    WWE Superstars

-Santino Marella d. Chavo Guerrero Jr. via small package.
-Jack Swagger d. Primo Colon by countering a flying headscissors attempt into the Doctor Bomb.
-Paul Burchill(w/ Katie Lea) d. Tyler Reks with the Dangerous Buster(Jackhammer).
-Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho d. Fit Finlay with the Codebreaker.

    TNA Impact

-Beer Money Inc. d. Global Champion Eric Young & Rob Terry when Robert Roode pinned Terry after Young accidentally BELTed his partner. The British Invasion members attacked after the match and security settled things down, but the Motor City Machineguns attacked the Brits as they were returning to the dressing room.
-Desmond Wolfe d. Cody Deaner with the LARIATOOOOO~!
-Heavyweight Champion A.J. Styles vs. Christopher Daniels(n/t) with Samoa Joe as referee never started because Styles was attacked backstage by his mystery assailant. I guess that means it wasn't Joe OR Daniels since they were both in the ring...while Daniels' attention was on the ImpactTron, Joe attacked him and dropped him with the muscle buster.
-Tara Varon d. Ayako Hamada with the Widow's Peak, then brawled with Amazing Kong after the matchup.
-Bobby Lashley(w/ Kristal) d. Homicide with a modified chokeslam. Lashley ran backstage to protect Kristal as she was cornered by Scott Steiner and Homicide decked referee Earl Hebner, bringing out Amazing Red for the save.
-Women's Tag Team Champion Taylor Wilde d. Madison Rayne with a rolling reverse cradle and bridge. Velvet Sky & Lacey Von Erich led a post-match beatdown, but Sarita Stock and then O.D.B. came in for the save.
-Heavyweight Champion A.J. Styles d. Christopher Daniels with the Styles Clash; Samoa Joe was the special guest referee. Joe called it down the middle as each man attacked the other's recent injury(Daniels focused on the ribs that were injured in the backstage attack, Styles attacked the neck after Joe's earlier muscle buster). Joe choked out Styles with the Kokita Clutch after the match.
-Matt Morgan & Shawn Hernandez d. Team 3-D by DQ; Rhino came to ringside with a chair and tried to convince Brother Ray that Morgan/Hernandez were trying to "take out" Devon by destroying his already-injured knee. Out of frustration, Ray finally entered the ring and laid out Morgan & Hernandez with the chair(causing the DQ). Rhino took out Hernandez and Morgan with post-match Gores.

    Turning Point lineup:

-Styles vs. Joe vs. Daniels for the Heavyweight Title
-Brits vs. Guns for the Tag Titles
-Red vs. Homicide for the X Title
    -Kurt Angle vs. Wolfe
-Tara vs. Kong in a cage
-O.D.B./Wilde/Sarita vs. Sky/Rayne/Lacey Von Erich with both O.D.B.'s Women's Title and Taylor/Sarita's Women's Tag Titles at stake
    -Lashley vs. Steiner

IWA Mid-South style is clearly not for everyone...

Live from the American Center. Your ring announcer is Jimmy "The Bruiser" Osbourne. I really wish the folks pushed this show and ticket sales at Unfair Game...I dunno if anyone came over from Girard tonight. I feel it was a missed opportunity. Also at Unfair Games, Sage Ramsey suffered a severe injury to his knee as a result of a batshot. So he is out of action tonight.

The new guys come out in the opener, and I need to reflect on Cassidy's history for a moment. Kyle had been having a promo war with two girls, Grace McKay and Violet Spears. These two girls have some sort of dream of eventually becoming pro wrestlers...but they're not old enough. So they decided to cut promos against a wrestler. J-Mac decided to jumped in on it to out promo all of them, to which Kyle threw a fit and the two girls said we shouldn't had taken things so seriously. So now J-Mac decided to bring in Kyle Cassidy and his buddy in so he could help get their names out.

Steven Bishop comes out saying his partner Dave Parker isn't here so he's not gonna wrestle tonight. LPC comes out to call him a dirty turd and says no one cares. LPC says since he doesn't have a partner and there is someone else in the back under a tag contract who doesn't have a partner he brings out Dareian Frost. Bishop ain't happy but LPC says he either does the match or he's fired. I guess it's his punishment for taking out Sage Ramsey huh?

    Mass shooting in Texas
I'm a bit concerned...an NMW fan who's known only as "Signalbrat" Joseph Hoffman whom I've been chatting with every so often for the past several years I believe works at that army base in Ft. Hood in Killeen, TX where that mass shooting took place. I need to find out if he was out of harms way during that mess.

UPDATE: He's fine. He's still at Ft. Hood which is still under lockdown though.

Let's Face It: There ARE Stupid Voters
The few people who read my LiveJournal are people I would certainly say are informed voters who take the time to research issues. And I would certainly say they all agree that there are plenty of stupid politicians out there.

But after having read and listened about a couple of local issues, it's becoming pretty apparent there are a lot of stupid voters out there... and they are just as responsible for the problems everyone is facing.

Comedy Part 223: Building An Audience
    Location: Comedy Etc. II
    Emcee: Tim Bone
    After: Robert Friday
    Before: George Rittenhouse

More of an audience this week(yes, thank you, Kevin Bunetic)...they weren't very energetic though. I had trouble getting many laughs...hey, it happens. You have to learn to deal with a tough audience sometimes, though I hate to blame the crowd. Sometimes the audience is looking for a particular style of performance and only certain acts will click with that. The headliner Dale Jones livened up the crowd at the end, so he accomplished what a lot of the comics struggled to do. Learning experience and all that...hopefully we can build an audience for the Etc. open-mic like we did for the Fairview Funny Bone open-mic.

    ROH On HDNet
The Briscoe Brothers vs. The Young Bucks: Mike Hogewood calls it a contrast of styles, though they actually seem to be very similar. Fast-paced opening exchange between Jay Briscoe and Matt Jackson aaaaand INDY RESPECT~! The Bucks seem to have the edge in terms of double-teams, but the Briscoes take control once it turns into a brawl. A blind tag by the Briscoes leads to a Flatliner/clothesline combo on Matt, putting him in the wrong part of town. The Bucks do their own blind tag and double-team Mark Briscoe, but Matt tags back in far too quickly and takes abuse from the Briscoes once again. Matt turns the tide in impressive fashion and finally tags Nick back into the fray...the house is on fire! Nick low-bridges Mark out of the ring and Jay is on the receiving end of a barrage of offense from the Bucks...but the Briscoes fire back and regain control. Doomsday Device setup on Nick, but Matt shoves Mark off the top rope. The Bucks seem to be setting up Jay for their finishing sequence, but here's the Dark City Fight Club for the Sportz Entertainment Finish...bah! Everyone fights with everyone until the zebra brigade shows up to settle things.

Bryan Danielson Moment #4: A pay-per-view match with Nigel McGuinness...Danielson was busted open in brutal fashion after a headbutt exchange, but came back to score the victory.

Kyle Durden interviews the Tag Team Champions, the American Wolves...they're facing Bryan Danielson & Roderick Strong next week. Davey Richards whines about how everyone's focusing on Danielson...WHAT ABOUT ME, WHAT ABOUT RAVEN?!? Eddie Edwards decides to take over Durden's interviewer spot as Richards disposes of Mr. Pink-Tie...

Sugarfoot Alex Payne vs. Rhett Titus: One of these guys might just win a match! The recipient of the hotel room key is a larger gal, something that does not escape the attention of our esteemed broadcast team. Payne counters a Razor's Edge with a rana and makes El Big Comeback, but Titus blocks a Diamond Dust and wins via rollup and handful of tights.

A Glory By Honor clipfest features highlights from the Ladder War, Jim Cornette's return, and the final Danielson/Nigel matchup...

Durden interviews Tyler Black about the injury to Jerry Lynn...but Nigel McGuiness interrupts.

Grizzly Redwood vs. Claudio Castagnoli(w/ Prince Nana & Ernie Osiris): Dave Prazak sums this up as Very European vs. Very Short...Redwood swats Dirty Ernie off the apron and immediately eats a pump kick. Yeah, that's how this one is gonna go...Claudio torture-racks Redwood into an inverted airplane spin and goes no-hands for the last few reps. Grizzly tries for a move off the second rope and gets caught in a pop-up European uppercut. Ricola Bomb and we're done...Nana and Ernie try to cut the beard but Necro Butcher hits the ring and the Embassy members bail.

Colt Cabana vs. Nigel McGuinness: We're a bit behind the curve at the time of this match's taping as Hogewood and Prazak discuss the "rumors" of Nigel leaving ROH. Colt's ring jacket helpfully points out that he is a "PRO WRESTLER"...well, now we know why WWE fired him. YAY WRESTLING~! to start with Colt's oddball sense of humor for added flavor. Nigel uses some cheap tactics to take over, then targets the arm...lots of technical exchanges in this one. You'd think Nigel would have the edge on that, but Colt did outwrestle Claudio a few weeks ago. Bionic elbows~! Tower Of London is set up, but Colt fights out of it and avoids the rebound lariat to score a near-fall with a folding press(thanks DP). Nigel cuts off a top-rope move by Cabana and teases a Tower Of London onto the apron, but Colt fights out and hits a flying buttsmash on the apron! Colt hits a moonsault press off the apron that doesn't do either guy any favors...huge splash off the top by Cabana gets another near-fall! Colt 45 setup, but Nigel avoids it and hits the Tower Of London this time around...for two! It did take a second or two for McGuinness to cover, but still notable. Colt avoids the lariat and goes into a Vertebreaker setup to maneuver Nigel into a backwards version of the Colt 45(double-underhook into an over-the-shoulder backbreaker)! Colt gets the cover for the win over the former Heavyweight Champion! We do get a post-match handshake...the fans chant "Thank You Nigel" to close out the show...

Next week: Up-close interview with Jim Cornette, part one...plus Wolves vs. Danielson/Strong.

    Comedy Part 222: Penciled In
    Location: Westport Funny Bone
    Emcee: Keith Cissell
    After: Charles Lee Johnson
    Before: Joe Murray

Wasn't on the original posting of the list, so I resigned myself to the fact that I wasn't going on stage. Thankfully, they were able to work me into the lineup near the end of the show...yay. Don't know if I had the best set in the world...kinda lost people around the middle since I didn't set up a few jokes properly. Did better toward the end. Obviously I've had other things on my mind lately...the past few weeks have been the epitome of what Auggie Smith would call "HEY, you can put that in your act!" Hope we get a decent audience at Comedy Etc. in Fairview Heights(HINT HINT :)). Still on the job hunt and car hunt...if anyone has a good lead for either of those, let me know.

    NFL/Fantasy Football Thoughts 11/3
The halfway point of the NFL season has arrived — hard to believe it has, honestly.

But plenty of football has been played, we now have a good idea as to who will make the playoffs, who will have a fight on their hands and who is thinking “just wait until next year.” And we also have a good idea about where things stand with players from a fantasy football perspective.

So here’s a look first at who have been the notable players in three fantasy categories: Studs (those who were expected to pay dividends and delivered), surprises (those who weren’t expected to have a big impact and have done just that) and stumblers (those who were expected to come up big and have not met those expectations).

From there, I’ll toss out a few more thoughts about the NFL in general.

Who would buy a shoot video on NMW? Since I've put in so much effort on it already I might as well see if someone would buy it. About two-thirds of the thing will be exclusive to the DVD as I could only fit half the answers given on tape one alone.

    WWE Raw
Guest hosts: Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne. They had a lot of people bugging them in the opening segment, setting up several matches...

Mike Mizanin d. Evan Bourne with the Skull-Crushing Finale to retain the U.S. Title.

Sheamus O'Shaunessy d. Jamie Knoble via ref stoppage after he delivered the Irish Curse and pump kick, then beat down Knoble in the corner until the official called for the bell. Sheamus wasn't done and powerbombed Knoble on the floor; Knoble had to be stretchered out.

Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton ended in a no-contest when the members of Priceless interfered; Ozzy & Sharona made it an impromptu six-man tag.

Kofi Kingston, Montel Vontavious Porter, & Mark Henry d. Randy Orton & Priceless when Henry pinned Cody Rhodes after the World's Strongest Slam.

Alicia Fox won a diva battle royal to earn the next Divas' Title shot at Melina Perez. Kelly K eliminated Gail Kim as Gail was trying to throw out one of the Bellas, then Eve Torres eliminated both Brie and Nikki Bella in succession. Eve was distracted by Jack Swagger's presence at ringside, allowing Alicia to eliminate her. Kelly had a good showing but Fox finally threw her to the floor for the win.

Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho won a triple threat match with WWE Champion John Cena and Tag Team Champion The Big Show(n/t); Cena had Jericho set up for the Attitude Adjustment, but Show stopped him with the big knockout punch and Jericho got the pin(!). The members of DeGeneration X were on commentary and attempted to make the post-match save, but Shawn Michaels took the knockout punch and Triple H was laid out by a Show headbutt and Jericho Codebreaker.

    >GAW forced to stop using the name and letters of N.P.W - GAW now recognizes Inner-City Title and Connor Riley as champion.......

I dunno when GAW was using the NPW letters in the first place, I sure got a surprised reaction from NPW's promoter when asked.

    >JC Michaels will not recognize Abuse Of Power as tag champions claims Project Mayhem rightful champions sets title match between two teams to settle dispute at Wrestlecade......

Hmmmm...appears my argument about the stripping were heard. I just don't know why they don't look before leaping then end up having to backtrack when they find themselves kneedeep in mud.

    NWA Anarchy TV
Hostile Environment part three, coming up...

Greg Hunter interviews El Veterano IV, who responds en espanol. John Johnson gets a rebuttal from Dan Wilson(Skirra Corvus stands nearby).

El Veterano IV vs. Skirra Corvus(w/ Dan Wilson) vs. Jay Clinton, three-way dance: This took place right after the Entourage-Wild Bunch match, so Clinton is still recovering from the beating he suffered at the hands of Billy Buck & Chris King. Veterano and Corvus have no problem starting things off...Clinton finally re-enters and attempts the strutting ropewalk only to crotch himself on the top rope, ouch. Corvus shows his agility by scaling the turnbuckles in two steps to dive onto Clinton on the floor, but Veterano goes one better with a somersault plancha into a modified dragon rana on Corvus! The heels start working together against Veterano...but when Clinton stops to strut, Corvus levels him with a clothesline. Veterano rallies against both opponents and busts up an over-the-ropes headscissors by Corvus on Clinton, then nearly slips on the turnbuckles in delivering a turnbuckle-walk Pele Kick! It's still enough to finish off Clinton, but Corvus comes off the top with a big splash on Veterano...for a near-fall! Veterano makes the comeback but whiffs on the Pele Kick for real this time and Corvus eliminates him with the Graveyard Shift(curbstomp).

Jerry Palmer confers with the troops(Ace Rockwell, Mikael Judas, & Iceberg)...no Truitt Fields, but that won't stop them. Slim J volunteers to substitute...sounds like a plan, but he's got his scheduled match first...

Slim J(w/ Orion Bishop) vs. Seth Delay(w/ Brodie Ray Chase), brass-knuckles-on-a-pole match: This took place before the Vain-Shadow match where Bishop turned heel, of course. Delay targets the achy-breaky head of the previously-concussed Slim J...but they come up with creative ways to cut each other off in the race for the knucks. Seth pulls out the Delayed Reaction(450 senton off the top from the moonsault position)...OW. Slim J cuts him off with the Screwdriver On The Rocks, but passes on a chance to go for the knuckles in favor of a suicide dive to the floor. Chase pulls down the knucks behind the referee's back and the referee catches him, ejecting him from ringside! The referee attempts to re-hang the knucks, but gets knocked down as J whips Delay into the ropes. Mike Posey comes out to check on the original ref and takes the knucks away from Seth, then re-hangs them and takes over as the official. Delay gets the knucks, but Slim J takes him off the turnbuckles with a huge German suplex! Slim J picks up the knucks from the mat...but Posey pulls out his own set of knucks and KOs Slim J! So much for that face turn...Delay adds a knucks-assisted fistdrop off the second rope and Mike Posey counts the three. Security members check on Slim J...looks like he won't be able to compete in Wargames either.

Greg Hunter interviews Delay, Chase, & Posey...

Wargames: Iceberg and Phil Shatter start things off...Shatter takes a shot at Iceberg, but he's wearing a hockey mask under his hood. The heels have the advantage so T.V. Champion Shaun Tempers is the next entrant. Tempers tries to cut off Ace Rockwell when he enters, but Ace uses the cage door to his advantage. Tempers gets crushed by an Iceberg barrel-roll in the corner. Tank is in next, but Rockwell shocks everyone with an airplane spin on the big man! Mikael Judas and Kimo follow...there's no Slim J, but Shadow Jackson enters as the final member of Team Anarchy! We get the big showdown between Shadow and Kimo...and it's Judas that interrupts by leveling Kimo with IT'S THE BIG FOOT. Tank suffers perhaps the hurtiest move in wrestling history as Judas puts him through a table...by POWERBOMBING ICEBERG ONTO HIM WHILE HE'S ON THE TABLE! In the end, Rockwell handcuffs Tempers to the ropes and pummels him until he surrenders...giving the win to Team Anarchy '09!
